A beautiful home beyond the inside

And while we do not focus on providing these as independent services, we are sharing with you an Outdoor Living project that was a beautiful side project we completed.
Here we showcase an outdoor breezeway project that we completed in the Middle Peninsula (between Mathews and Northern Neck).
We begin by first showing you the outdoor Pavilion we completed about two years prior. The owners wanted to maintain the same design for a new breezeway. Both the pavilion for the patio and the new breezeway was created using a kit.
A lot of planning took place well before the actual construction. This is a specialty that can not be overlooked including foundation plans, measurements, floor plans and construction specifics. Here we show what the backyard looked like after the pavilion was built, but before the breezeway was completed.
We began by preparing to anchor the posts followed by the posts being set. The footers are three feet in the ground.
This is an example of all the detail of this structure and what went into the bracing. The holes are big 8, 7 and 6 inch steel bolts. The edges were square and we put a chamfer edge. Then we stained it. We spent two weeks sanding and priming and filling in the imperfections in the wood.
Once completed, this Low Voltage Exterior LED Lighting has added just the right appeal for connecting the structures.
The backyard view gives a wonderful perspective how the original patio pavilion blends right into the new breezeway.
Like we said, the pavilion in the background was done a few years ago. Then we completed the pavers while we waited for over two years to get the kit. And the final projects have them perfectly blended.
Our client wanted this breezeway to look like furniture using all 8×8 structural fir lumber which was stained throughout.
No matter the angle, we know you will appreciate the level of details that went into this gorgeous project. Notice on the right hand side where we replaced the lattice and then stained it to match the breezeway.
This home is just a wonderful place to arrive, either in the morning or the evening. Great contrast with you being able to see just a little of our work on the left hand side.
Now we move towards the back to see the entire night appeal of this new breezeway.

Leaving the garage area from the guest house provides a full view of the breezeway.
